So you have seen the movie "White Noise" Vampires are now frightened Nefazodone the bone about EVP (electronic voice phenomenon). You wonder if that was true and have maybe even turned tour tv's to static channels to see ghosts. Unfortunately for anyone who believed that movie, it was all hype the only faces you will see in the static on tv is what we call matrixing. Matrixing is when your brain pulls patterns and shapes from anything and forms a familiar shape such as a face. The thing about electronic voice phenomenon is that it deals with, voices. Big surprise huh, but its true otherwise it would be called electronic voice and image phenomenon. Hollywood likes to embellish on simple things and twist paranormal situations, its a sales device meant to put people in the theater seats and that twenty dollar box office fee in their pockets.

So if EVP isn't what that movie said it was then what is it? EVP is a tool mesothelioma clinical trial by paranormal investigators to capture disembodied voices (voices with no visible or audible source beyond the human range of hearing). A paranormal investigator will take out an audio recording device like the old micro-cassette recorders and press record. They then begin to ask questions blindly to the spirit that is claimed to be haunting. Now a response is not heard with the ears at that time, it is later when reviewing the recorded "interview" of sorts that the responses (if any) are heard. These voices will range from children to adults and male to female respectively. They could be anything from "hello" to "help me" or even the ever popular "get out". EVPs are usually very faint almost like a whisper, thought there have been times they are very clear, and they usually occur in the background sounds while the investigative team is conversing amongst each other.

With that answered one question may still remain in your minds, am I in any danger while taking these recordings? The answer to that one is difficult to say but the element of danger is always present on an investigation. As in life there are good people and bad people so its the same in the spiritual world, there are good spirits and bad spirits. While about ninety nine point nine percent of hauntings are good spirits there is that point zero one percent that is bad. Bad spirits can be potentially dangerous and can harm you during an investigation, fortunately enough it is not believed that they could kill you. The movie "White Noise" showed the spirits following a death plan and them following Micheal Keaton to try and kill him. This is all movie hype as well, while spirits could latch on to you it is not common or likely. Most common of hauntings is a non interactive type known as residual. EVPs also do not come to you as seen in the movie you have to go to them by going on an investigation at a reportedly haunted location.

EVP is just one of the many victims of Hollywood's ridicule of the paranormal. It has joined the great ones like "Poltergeist", "The Exorcist", "Casper" and many more. "White Noise" was entertaining but not representative of true EVP. Conclusively the act of taking an EVP recording and listening to it in analysis differs greatly than its movie counterpart. EVP is something that anyone could do, simply get a recorder (digital preferably), press record and ask away. When you listen to it in review if there was anything there and it answered you, you will hear its response. Do not conjure, call, summon, beckon or otherwise invite spirits into your home or life! This is only used when you suspect spirits are already there. Remember when you listen to it back you should Mesothelioma attorneys headphones that block out background noises in your room or apartment so as not to confuse you when trying to decipher your recordings. Have fun and always respect your local laws and regulations regarding privacy and trespassing.
